My review on SKYFALL published in t2

M: Where have you been?
007:Enjoying death...
The gruff yet the very known velvety voice reverberated through the shadowy gloom of the room...
What to say and what not to say about this 23rd movie of the bond series ? The movie is equipped with
perfect adrenaline-kicks at the right places, exotic locales and a pinch of
Bond's emotional essence.Directed by Sam Mendes, the movie has a little something more to speak about.Yes it is typically a Bond movie, displaying his
bravery, intelligent reflexes, nonchalance and also the same soft corner for women, but here it is shown how bond is ageing gracefully and how hard he is trying to cope up with the truth. His physical weaknesses, slowing down reflexes and little less cleavage-show in the movie will make you feel that is a very personal and sensitive Bond movie,as if it is being shown from the perspective of an ageing spy whose abilities are being questioned by his agency for which he has never hesitated to stake his own life. His senescence is imbibed inhis cold steel blue eyes which are too tired and exhausted to struggle any further but yet they bear the ultimate spark to fight back. After being put down by Agent Eve he goes underground but comes back when he is really needed. The dearth of steamy romance marks the fact that it is rather a little bit off-the beaten track Bond movie.Javier Bardem justifies his negativity as "more than a villain".He is really appealing as the cruel, brilliant, but betrayed MI6 agent who comes back for revenge. The beautiful understanding andun named relationship between M and 007 is evident in several stratas of the movie and at the end is signed off with a cold blue pain of ultimate separation, after her death.
M, we will surely miss you. From Macau to Shanghai to Scotland valleys, Bond keeps his very own footsteps intact with his same style and charm.Yes it is a very personal movie of a tired and ageing spy who has never stopped running for adventure but now it is time he should think about the things he used to do before. The theme song as well as the video performed by ADELE is just perfect for the movie. When I was coming out of the hall, the early november rains fell on my head, as if the SKY REALLY FELL!!
And I LOVED IT!!!
